Table Discussion

What I like to do with my whole family is that I want to go with them at the beach and eat KFC because those are the 1 of my family’s favourite. I would also like to play volley with my family because I think Samoan people is good at volley. I would like to take my family to a picnic because we always have fun playing with our whole family. It is actually cool when you play with your parents because they make it way funner but then they go back and sit down then the kids gets way board. I like to go with my whole family because we get to play with our aunt's and uncle’s and there children's. I would also like to take my family at one of our cousins birthday and eat BBQ.


The reason I want to take my family to one of our cousin birthday, it is because we eat the best foods on birthdays and the coolest thing about a birthday it is because we get to go to valentines. Valentines is 1 of my Nana’s favourite. When we went to my Nana’s birthday we can eat anything over there and the food is for free.

The show went on

‘The Show Went On’ by Bernard Beckett

Helen: Nervous
“Helen the rooster stepped from one foot to the other. Last year, she had been so nervous she had vomited before the show.” (p12)

Josh: stressed
Seth turned round. Now he could see what Josh was trying to say. So could the rest of the children. ‘’Excuse me, Mr A,’’ Seth said.’’ I think George’s tail might be on fire. (12)

Mr Appleton:Angry
Seth could hear Josh humming to himself, the way he did when he wanted to say something but wasn’t allowed. Mr Appleton looked to the back of the line. ‘’Quiet, Josh,’’ he whispered. ‘’But-’’ ‘’No, Josh,quiet!’’ Mr Appleton’s voice rose dangerously. (12)

The cat:Worried
Seth could feel the children around him began to worry. Seth wasn’t worried. He was dressed as a cat. Cats never worry. (13)

Seth: Heart stressed
The audience waited to see what would happen next. George waited, to. So did the band. So did the farm animals.so did the taniwha. Everybody waited. Seth felt butterflies in his stomach. If something didn’t happen soon, the show would be ruined. (15)

Talia and George: scared
Talia and George where dressed as a horse. Talia was the front end. George was bent down behind her, a long tail sticking out at the rear. (12)

The chicken: worried
The cheering turned to laughter when an oversized chicken came bursting through the gap, carrying half a horse over her back. Stefanie dumped George, and the horse’s bottom, into the pools. (15)

Rex and Anthea: Kind of happy
Next door, in the school hall, they could hear the audience laughing seth knew why. They were laughing because rex and anthea, dressed as a taniwha. (10)

I want to take my parent’s to Samoa because I love the coconuts that up the tree.I also want to go there because I want to see how Samoan people climbed on the tree to get the coconut....





I want to take my family to Tonga because it is a special place to me and also I really like Tongan food and my favourite food from Tonga is Puaka......

I want to take my family to Disney world because we haven’t been to that place and I really want to see all the light on the city here is a picture of Disney world also there is lots of people there that was in a movie…..
